Week 1 is just around the corner with so much buzz in the air. Out of all the games week one, there are two matchups that see a Quarterback playing a revenge game against their former team. With the drama behind these games, they just might steal the spotlight week one.
Browns at Panthers
Only thing that could have made this matchup better was if it was in Cleveland. This game is set to see Baker Mayfield have a revenge game against his former team. While both sides have seemed professional about it, it has become pretty obvious that neither team wants to lose this game.
This game is a 1:00 eastern kickoff on September 11th. So while it may not be a prime time game, this is definitely a cannot miss game. We will get to see how Baker looks on the new team and how the Browns might look without Watson for the upcoming weeks. There also will be the underlying tension from the removal of Baker from Cleveland and how it was handled.
This is going to be a fun game to watch, as both sides have a lot of emotional ties to the game.
Broncos At Seahawks
There is so much buzz in the air for Denver Broncos fans since the adding Russell Wilson to the squad. While they have a lot of reason to be excited for the upcoming season, there should be more buzz since they get an amazing game to start out week 1. Week one sees Russell Wilson find himself having a date set on Monday Night Football with his former team, and Broncos fans are ready to ride.
This a prime time game set on September 12th. This will be the first Monday Night Football game of the year. Along with that, Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are the new voices coming into the booth. The cherry on top of all of this is Wilson gets a chance at revenge against this former team.
While the Seahawks seem to be closer to a rebuild than a Superbowl, the Broncos are lookin ready to go and try to win the Superbowl. That could turn you off from the game, but this game is way more than that. This game is all about Russell Wilsons return home. This game is definitely a much watch game, and it will be interesting to see who gets the better of who in this battle.
What a way to start out a new season of NFL football.
