Tyreek Hill Under Investigation for Alleged Assault

Tyreek Hill Investigation Assault

If you’re making newsworthy headlines as an NFL player in June you’d want it to be trade/free agency related. Otherwise, it’s most likely going to be something you don’t want to be in the news for. Unfortunately for Tyreek Hill, his latest headline falls under the criminal investigation category. Hill reportedly assaulted a worker of one of the charter companies at Haulover Marina.

Ian Margol of Local 10 News in Miami first reported the news from an anonymous tip. At around 6 p.m. on Sunday, the Miami Dolphins receiver and the marina worker “got into some kind of disagreement” which ended poorly. That is when Hill supposedly struck the employee in the head. Miami-Dade police confirmed there was an ongoing investigation into Tyreek Hill but it’s unclear if the worker is injured.

On Tuesday, the same day police confirmed the investigation, Hill’s agent Drew Rosenhaus tweeted out a video of the two together. In the video, Rosenhaus is seen swimming next to a shark while Hill can be heard in the background. Local 10 News reached out to Rosenhaus and his team several times on Tuesday but hadn’t heard back from them since the news broke.

Andy Slater of Fox Sports 640 reported that the charter employee in question “does not want to press charges at this time.” As a result, it’s hard to say what charges, if any, Hill will have brought to him. The NFL could also pursue an independent investigation but there is no confirmation of that at this time.
