The UEFA Champions League Round of 16 draw took place today at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon.
What’s the fixtures?
- Manchester City-RB Leipzig
- Club Brugge-Benfica
- Liverpool-Real Madrid
- AC Milan-Tottenham
- Eintracht Frankfurt-Napoli
- Borussia Dortmund-Chelsea
- Inter-FC Porto
- Paris Saint Germain-Bayern
Blockbuster Matches
All of these matches are relatively good. Each tie has it’s own qualities and each team will try their best to come out victorious. However, no one can deny that there’s a couple gargantuan fixtures.
PSG vs Bayern is definitely one of them as both teams are well coached and have talent all over the field. Bayern will want to win another UCL for the first time in two years while PSG are still searching for their first Champions League trophy.
We also have a repeat of last season’s final, Real Madrid vs Liverpool. It’s safe to say that since that final, both teams have gone on completely different paths. Liverpool have regressed while Real Madrid have continued to improve their squad and perform on the pitch. Nevertheless, it’ll be a difficult game for both teams. Revenge can sometimes be the biggest motivator and Liverpool will want to right their wrongs.

These games will be played after the World Cup in February (1st leg) and March (2nd leg). It’ll be a Round of 16 to remember and many are already eager for February to arrive to be treated to all of these excellent ties.
