Rochet- 6/10 He didn’t have anything to do throughout the game and ended with zero saves.
Caceres- 5/5 Ended the game with three recoveries, two clearances and lost most of his duels against Son.
Godin- 7/10 He had an excellent game. Read the game and recycled the ball well and even hit the post in the first half.
Gimenez- 8/10 Was crucial in unlocking South Korea’s defensive structure with his diagonal switches and made some crucial blocks in the second half.
Olivera- 6/10 Got into promising positions but his final ball wasn’t good enough. Was decent defensively and ended the game with the most chances created (alongside Fede).
Fede Valverde- 7.5 The Real Madrid star had to prioritize his defensive responsibilities but he also got involved in the attack throughout the game. Nearly won it in the dying minutes with a wonder strike from outside the box that hit the post.

Vecino- 5/10 The 31 year old was given a more offensive role in the first half but was deployed much deeper in the second. He wasn’t good enough on the ball and only won 50% of his duels.
Bentancur- 8/10 The Spurs midfielder had the most defensive responsibility in the Uruguay midfield and did his job well. He ended the game with 100% tackles won.
Pellistri- 7/10 Very good performance from the youngster. Had to help Cacares out to double-up on Heung Min Son but was also their main offensive outlet on the counter attack.
Nunez- 5/10 Had a great chance to open the scoring in the first half and his struggles continued throughout the match.
Suarez- 5/10 Didn’t have much service and he wasn’t good enough with the ball at his feet.

Cavani- 6/10 Brought some much-needed energy to the attack and boosted his team’s performance with his efforts.
