Vinicius Jr has signed a four (4) year contract renewal with Real Madrid, lasting until 2026. The Brazilian winger is currently on vacation, so the renewal will be made official in July when he returns to Spain for the start of preseason. The Brazilian liked the Instagram post of Fabrizio Romano, confirming his renewal. Like most young stars, there’s a release clause in his contract worth €1b.
He was one of Real Madrid’s most important and influential players last season. He scored twenty-two (22) goals and had twenty (20) assists in all competitions. One of those goals won his team the Champions League final which signifies his importance.
It hasn’t always been this glamorous for the youngster as he suffered a lot of criticism in previous seasons for his poor end product. He would take on two or three players, make his way into the box and fail to convert his shots. He has proven all his doubters wrong and will be eager to continue where he left off.
The Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez has always believed in his abilities. Last August he said, “Vinicius is not for sale, nobody can buy him. Nobody is even allowed to touch him.” Madridistas are extremely thankful that Perez didn’t react to his struggles the way some of them did.

Expectations for Vini Next Season
Many Madridistas expect the Brazilian to have a better season than the previous one. But is that fair on the player? Of course it’s a fair expectation. When you’re playing for Real Madrid, there’s a constant expectation for more. More success, more trophies, more excitement and more effort. Aurelien Tchouameni, the new Real Madrid signing, told the president that he has to make the trophy room bigger because there’s more trophies to be won. That’s the mentality of all Madridistas. So going into next season, Vinicius is expected to have another superb season and he’ll hopefully have more rest with Eden Hazard there to replace him when tired.
