Who do I pick up on waivers? It’s the question all fantasy managers ask at the start of each week. This article will give you some insight into the top players you should pick up from the Waiver Wire, to help your team. Oftentimes, the players you pick up from waivers can win you your league. So we want to get those players before our league-mates do. Here are the top Week 2 Waiver Wire targets. All of these players are less than 50% rostered according to Yahoo Fantasy Leagues.
Running Backs
Elijah Mitchell: Running for 104 yards and a touchdown on Sunday following the Raheem Mostert injury, Mitchell now has the potential to operate as the San Francisco 49ers’ number 1 running back. Therefore, make Elijah Mitchell the top priority for your Week 2 Waiver Wire targets.
Mark Ingram: After getting the bulk of the carries for the Houston Texans in Week 1, it’s hard to pass up a starting running back if he’s on your waiver wire. On 26 carries, he ran for 85 yards and a touchdown. Not the best yards per carry, but still if he has the potential to be a leading ball carrier, he’s worth having on your bench.
Tony Jones Jr: Operating in the old Latavius Murray role, there is some good value here. He will get carries every game and will be the handcuff to Alvin Kamara. If your bench can fit him, pick him up.
Wide Receivers
Terrace Marshall Jr: He finished third on his team in targets. Because of that target share, he’ll continue to have decent value as the third wide receiver in the Carolina Panthers offense. So, if you are in need of a wide receiver, look for Marshall.
Sterling Shepard: If he is not already rostered in your league, go get him. Shepard was great on Sunday with 7 receptions, 113 yards, and a touchdown. Expect good production from the New York Giants wide receiver this season.
Tight Ends
Adam Trautman: I don’t love him right now but he had 6 targets so the New Orleans Saints TE is worth keeping on your radar. Because of that, he maybe even worth adding in deeper leagues.
Quarterbacks
Jameis Winston: If you’re in need of a QB, Winston looks like a decent option because he looked amazing on Sunday.
Justin Fields: The change in QB might be coming for the Chicago Bears, so if you have a spot on your bench, having a high upside QB in waiting might be a good move.
