Throughout the first fourteen weeks of the NFL season, every team has experienced some highs and some lows. Heading into Week Fifteen, we can see the teams currently trending upward, and the teams heading in the wrong direction.

Stock Up

Detroit Lions-
The Detroit Lions have won five of their last six games after thumping the Minnesota Vikings. Jared Goff has played like a top-ten quarterback and Lion’s offense is fifth-best in the league. Led by Aidan Hutchinson, the Lions’ defense has improved from being the worst in the NFL at the start of the season. The Lion’s only loss over the last six games was against a talented Buffalo Bills team. The Lions lost a close one to the Bills, so they could have easily won six straight.

Jacksonville Jaguars-
Trevor Lawrence has finally taken the next step. Lawrence over the last four games has shown flashes of an elite quarterback. Lawrence led a comeback against the Baltimore Ravens and blew out the Tennessee Titans. The Jaguars have won two of their last three games. Christian Kirk and Evan Engram have helped Lawrence along with an improving defense.

Carolina Panthers-
Since firing Matt Rhule, the Carolina Panthers have won four out of seven games including two straight. The Panthers should have won five of those seven games. D.J. Moore got wrongfully flagged against the Atlanta Falcons which cost them the game. The Panthers have won by the defense led by Brian Burns, Derrick Brown, and Jaycee Horn. Also, the Panthers have a great running back attack with D’Onta Foreman and Chuba Hubbard.

Washington Commanders-
The Washington Commanders are 6-1-1 over the last eight games. The Commanders defeated the Philadelphia Eagles and nearly won against the Minnesota Vikings. Similar to Carolina, they are led by the defense and the running game. Johnathan Allen and Daron Payne are the best defensive tackle duo in the NFL. Antonio Gibson and Brian Robinson Jr leads the running game. Terry McLaurin has been a top-ten receiver and Taylor Heinicke has also made some clutch plays throughout.

Stock Down

Tennessee Titans-
The Tennessee Titans have lost three straight all-by blowouts. The first two were losses to the Cincinnati Bengals and the Philadelphia Eagles which is expected. What is most concerning is the fact the Titans lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars with Derrick Henry playing well. Ryan Tannehill and Henry played poorly in the first two losses, but turnovers cost them in the third loss to the Jaguars.

Miami Dolphins-
Tua Tagovailoa has played the two worst games of his career over the last two weeks. The Miami Dolphins have lost two straight. Tua was outplayed by rookie quarterback Brock Purdy and then outclassed by Justin Herbert. Tua is struggling to throw under pressure which he’ll have to figure out soon if he wants a new contract from the Dolphins.

New York Giants-
The New York Giants are 1-4-1 after starting 6-1. Teams are stacking the box to take out Saquon Barkley and the Giants have nothing else on offense. Daniel Jones has been poor of late, and the receiver room is one of the worst in the NFL. The giants were blown out by the Eagles, Lions, and Seattle Seahawks. Their one win during that span was against the Houston Texans, the worst team in the league.
