This week there were a lot of guys who took a big step forward, but some who took a step back. There were a lot of guys who stepped up this week since there were a lot of big games. Here are my rankings for week four. This was a big week as we edge closer to the halfway point of the college football season.
1. Matt Carroll – Week Four Heisman Rankings
No surprise who is number one this week, as Matt Carroll has shined in his first four weeks. Furthermore, He has a tough test this week against Alabama in Tuscaloosa. If he shines this week, he will no doubt be the runaway favorite. But, as we all know, anything can happen in college football from week to week. Also, it’s so unpredictable what somebody is going to do. So, we will see if he can keep up his hot streak from week to week.
2. Bryce Young – Week Four Heisman Rankings
Number two shouldn’t be any surprise either, as Bryce Young has also looked great in his first four weeks. He really shined in week three against the gators in the swamp. He threw for three first-quarter touchdowns and shined in the fourth quarter to stop a late rally by Florida. Also, he plays Ole Miss this week, it should be a great test for him.
3. CJ Verdell
There is a new number three this week as CJ Verdell rounds out the rankings. Also, CJ has looked really good in the first four weeks. His Ducks pulled off a big upset against Ohio State just a couple of weeks ago when he looked unstoppable running the football. Likewise, Oregon is a big favorite to make the playoffs this year. He is one of the reasons for Oregon’s success.
