By now everyone can see that Arkansas has a great team and has been dominating teams for the last three weeks. Especially the tremendous 40 to 21 win over number 15 ranked Texas during week two. Many huge factors will have to go into Arkansas making the College Football Playoffs. They would have to beat five more ranked teams, and 3 are away games. In addition, the next four games that they play are all ranked conference games.
Games To Win
To start the most difficult stretch of the schedule for Arkansas, they will play against the number seven ranked Texas A&M in AT&T Stadium. In addition, It is just the start of the four straight-ranked games on their schedule. Week 5 will be the second hardest game that they will have to play. They are heading to Athens to compete against the number two ranked Georgia. It kicks off the first away game they play against a ranked team.
They continue their road games by heading to number 13 Ole Miss. It will be the first game that Arkansas will play a good offense and a good quarterback. However, week seven will be the best rushing team they will have to face. Arkansas is lucky to be heading back home in week seven against Auburn. To finish off their five ranked games, they have to head to number one ranked Alabama. This will be the biggest game they will have and will be the hardest contest they will have.
Arkansas In The End
Arkansas won a national championship back in 1964. Since joining the SEC they have not even been able to in a conference championship. If they can win all these games then they will be first in their conference. Arkansas will then be headed to a Conference championship against a one-loss Georgia team. They may also have to play against a team they played before during the playoff game. Getting there will not be easy and Arkansas will have to dig deep to be able to get past the four-game stretch.
It would be great to see another team in the College Football Playoffs and especially a team that has not been in talks for the National Championship since 1964. It would also be the biggest upset if they are able to beat all five of these games and also beating Texas during week two.
