WWE has been in a lot of headlines recently. Whether it be the sale to Endeavor or The Raw after Mania got a lot of heat for being boring, but on the SmackDown after Mania. Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque announced the WWE Draft will return.
The draft has not taken place since 2021 and has been long overdue. Over the years, there have been some big surprises. We have seen tag teams broken up… such as The New Day when Big E was drafted to Raw, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston were sent to SmackDown. There have been some call-ups from WWE during the Draft.
The most notable NXT call-up during the 2021 WWE Draft was Austin Theory. Since then, Theory has gotten a push as the United States Champion and beat John Cena at WrestleMania. 2022 was the first year without a draft since 2015, but now with Levesque in control of creative, it appears he wants to set his own rosters on both Raw and Smackdown. During the past eight months of Levesque’s tenure, the WWE Universe has seen many superstar cross shows and appear on both.
It’s also notable that there have been no recent indications of WWE splitting up the WWE and Universal Championships, or the “Raw” and “SmackDown” Tag Team Championships. Not to mention, no word on splitting up the WWE Universal and WWE championships. Oftentimes, some of these types of matches happen on Draft Night.
With every superstar available in this year’s draft, what (team/stable) splits do you hope to see happen? What Superstars would you like to see switch brands or even get called up on the main roster?

The return of the draft has just been announced. More to come.
