Alabama is heading to Gainesville to play against Florida. Florida is ranked #11 and Alabama is ranked #1. Alabama is the favorite for this game even though it is in Florida. Alabama is favorited for good reason because the last time Florida beat Alabama was in 2008 during the SEC Championship Game.
Florida Gators
Florida has not looked amazing this season. The two games that they played were not close, but their offense did not play that great. Week one was against Florida Atlantic and won 35 to 14 and Emory Jones had a bad game. He only threw for 114 yards and had 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. Luckily for them, their rushing game was excellent, and rushed for 400 yards.
Week two was against South Florida and won 42 to 20. This game was a lot better was for Florida. They had 666 total yards and had a good mixture of passing and rushing yards. Jones had the same kind of game as week one. Anthony Richardson came in and threw for 152 yards on only 3 passes and had 2 touchdowns.
Florida must figure out their quarterback situation and hopefully, they will start Richardson and he can continue to do great. They will need to have a mixture of both passing and rushing during this game because Alabama will be a tough team to beat. If they figure that all out, then the chances for them to beat Alabama will go up.
Alabama Crimson Tide
Alabama has been one of the best teams in college football for a long time and they have already shown how great they are this season. In week one they played a Miami team that looked like they were on the up. Alabama came out and dominate that game and won 44 to 13. They had 501 total yards and Bryce Young had 344 yards and 4 touchdowns. The one bad thing during the game was the run game because it only had 147 yards. During week 2, they played Mercer and won 48 to 14. Young looked great once again during this game and had 227 passing yards and 3 touchdowns. Their rushing game was not great, but they still had 158 rushing yards between several different players.
Their defense was the real star of both games and held good players to career lows in yardage. In the Miami games, they held them to only 266 total yards. They allowed 179 passing yards and 87 rushing yards and forced 1 fumble and had 2 interceptions. Alabama’s defense played a lot better during the Week 2 game. They held Mercer to only 216 total yards and 168 passing and only 48 rushing yards and another 2 interceptions.
There is not much to say about Alabama and how they could win this game because they are the best all-around team. They do not seem like anything will fail them in this game and will continue to be as great as they have always been. Alabama will have to continue to play as great as they have, and they also must hold Florida’s offense to low yardage.
Final Thoughts
Alabama is looking like they are the best team in college football right now. They have the best offense, and the best defense, and Florida may not be able to stop them at all. Alabama will dominate this game and will not be phased by being away.
My prediction: Alabama 49 to 17.
