Today, the Detroit Lions made huge deals with two of their young stars, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Penei Sewell. WR Amon-Ra St. Brown signed an extension that is 4-years worth $120 Million with $77 Million guaranteed per Ian Rapoport via X. This will make St. Brown tied with Tyreek Hill for the highest AAV($30 Million) for wide receivers in the NFL (via OverTheCap). The 24-year-old 4th-round pick will help the Lions improve on last year’s success.

On the other hand, the Lions are not finished securing the team’s future, so they extended tackle Penei Sewell. The extension includes a 4-year $112 Million contract, with $85 Million of that contract guaranteed per Mike Garafolo on X. Along with St. Brown, this extension will make Sewell the highest-paid offensive lineman in the entire NFL. He took over the top spot from the Houston Texan tackle Laremy Tunsil by $3 Million AAV. The 23-year-old former first-round pick out of Oregon will be a cornerstone for the next four years for this Lions team.
