The Red Sox season didn’t go the way they expected it to in 2022 and following a down year, they’re looking to compete in a competitive but not overpowering AL East. Check out our Boston Red Sox 2023 Season Preview:

The 2023 season brings an improved roster to the city of Boston. The biggest addition may come in the form of Chris Sale who said “Humpty Dumpty got put back together.” However, the rotation has vastly been improved heading into the 2023 season with the additions of James Paxton and Corey Kluber. Those aren’t the only additions to the pitching staff either. In the Bullpen, the front office added Kenley Jansen, Chris Martin, Joely Rodriguez. They also signed hard-throwing right hander Dan Altavilla on a minor league deal with an invtitation to Spring Training.

Reports show they’re still looking for a lefty in the bullpen, in that case, you could slide Paxton over and start Bryan Bello in the starting rotation.

Though, Trevor Story will be out for quite some time. The Red Sox were able to deepen their roster with the additions of Justin Turner, Adam Duvall, and Masatka Yoshida. The latter is projected as the opening day centerfielder, but not playing in the MLB before, how will he do? Rafael Devers is a lock at third base for years to come, especially after he signed his 11-year extension.

The Red Sox are projected at 77-85, but that leaves room for growth. That third Wild Card spot could help them this season.
