Tonight on TNT the Clippers are visiting the Golden State Warriors in their final game against one another this season. Los Angeles is looking bounce back from the poor showing against the Knicks last time out. The Warriors have been in a bit of a slide as they are 2-8 in their last ten games and currently on a 5 game losing streak. Golden State played the Denver Nuggets last and they rested Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, and James Wiseman. Taking a look at the Injury report right now looks as if Stephen Curry will play. However, Klay Thompson is listed as out, Wiseman is listed with a knee injury, Wiggins is listed as out with a back injury, and Draymond Green is still out with a back injury.
Looking at Warriors
Golden State has had a rough time since Draymond Green went down with injury. Its obvious watching their style of play without him that the Warriors are missing his presence. Green brings a certain tough guy aspect to that defense. Warriors are missing his assist game as well when he drives and kicks the ball out to his three point shooters. Of course the Warriors will be better when Green is back but the warriors have other problems right now. as of right now teams are putting up 117 PPG on the Warriors. Stephen Curry since passing the three point record has not been himself. Maybe it’s the relief of finally passing that record he was seeking earlier this year or maybe Curry isn’t getting those wide open looks he did when Green was paying. Either way Warriors are still a offensive force and go go off any night.
Clippers on the Road
Los angles Clippers have been 15-18 on the road this year but pulled off the win in their last matchup with the Warriors. However, the Clippers are coming off a poor showing against the Knicks but that was after that really tough game against the lakers. Im hoping that was just a lack of respect and effort on the Clippers part that let the Knicks win. I would expect Tyronn Lue to have the Clippers intensity and effort much better than that Knicks game. Tyronn Lue’s small lineup is going to be a good matchup against the weakened Warriors tonight but Clippers cant take that for granted. Solid effort is still needed against this potent offense.
Betting Nuggets
The line was set at 7 points when the book opened but has since dropped to 5.5. That type of movement means the sharp betters and picking the Clippers to cover tonight. Over/under is sitting at that 223 mark tonight. That’s a little bit high for me but i can see the over hitting tonight. Lack of defensive effort is going to be a them tonight. Clippers are +190 tonight so there is great value for the upset tonight. Honsetly I like the Clippers in this spot tonight. With the Warriors on a bad 2-8 run in their last ten games and giving up 117 points a game. Also with some big names on the bench tonight for the Warriors tonight getting some rest it is still ging to take a great game from the Clippers to pull off this win. Bet Responsibly and go Clippers!
