EA Sports College Football 25

The game that the entire world has been waiting for is soon to be released. On Thursday, we got the official trailer for the new game. Due to NIL, the transfer portal, and many other things we haven’t had a game in awhile. They could go anywhere with the EA Sports College Cover.

Here are some of the top candidates that make sense for the EA College Cover:

Nick Saban

Nick Saban, EA College Cover

As of now, this has to be the betting favorite. The greatest College Coach of all time just walked away, so it’d be an obvious choice. Saban after retiring from Alabama will join ESPN as a College Football Analyst. If EA Sports decides to go with multiple editions like 2K does now, they could Saban on the ‘GOAT’ edition. Saban’s seven titles are the most in College Football history. During his time at Alabama, he led the Crimson Tide to a 206-29 record.

Deion Sanders

It doesn’t make sense to put Travis Hunter or Shedeur Sanders on the cover. Shedeur is not better than any of the quarterbacks in the 2024 NFL Draft. However, putting Coach Prime on the cover would make sense. He draws a big audience not just within the football world but outside of it as well. There won’t be many stars returning to College Football in 2025. Plus, this could promote building a program from the ground up… something that Sanders has had to do with Colorado.

Every Heisman Winner Since the Game Went Away

This option was listed on a Twitter poll and I think it’s absolutely genius. The cover would certainly be busy from a graphic standpoint, but you’d have a lot of star power with guys like Marcus Mariota, Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry. It would certainly be a reminder of not only how many stars have played over the last couple of seasons, but also how long we’ve suffered without the NCAA Football game.

We were all treated to a wonderful 2023 College Football season. Guys like Michael Penix Jr., Bo Nix and Jayden Daniels stepped up for their respective programs. All three were a Heisman candidate. They could even do a combination of the three. Caleb Williams would be another option but with the fall of USC this last year, I just don’t see how you put him on.

I’m sure, not many people will care who is on the game as long as the game itself is good.
