Scott Hall passed away today at age 63 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. On Saturday Night he suffered 3 heart attacks as a result of a blood clot from recent hip surgery surrounded by friends and family.

Scott Hall is one of the great legends of Pro Wrestling. In WWF, he was known as Razor Ramon, a wrestling character based on Tony Montana from Scarface. As the Bad Guy Razor Ramon, Scott Hall became a four-time WWE Intercontinental Champion. After being in the company for nearly five years, Scott Hall left WWE for World Championship Wrestling.

His arrival in WCW was the start of the legendary New World Order angle that changed the face of the wrestling world. With NWO leading the way with Hulk Hogan at its head, WCW won the rating war against Vince McMahon’s WWE for 83 weeks. This angle and faction are recognized as one of the most influential wrestling factions of all time.

Scott Hall later returned to WWE in 2002 to reform the NWO. It was short-lived due to personal issues that Scott had at the time that lead him to get fired. Scott Hall also wrestled for TNA, AWA, and many smaller promotions.

Scott Hall was inducted twice into the WWE Hall of Fame. Once as a singles wrestler, and once as a member of NWO. Scott Hall’s final appearance on WWE programming was a backstage stage segment as NWO, that also featured former WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion, Bayley.

Scott Hall was much beloved by fans and those in the wrestling industry alike. Scott Hall will be remembered as one of the key trendsetters that changed wrestling forever, but more than that. He’ll be remembered as a man who loved wrestling, a man who made mistakes, and a man who made them all better. His words at his Hall of Fame Speech seem apt, “Hard work pays off. Dreams come true. Bad times don’t last, but bad guys do.”
