New York Giants RB, Saquon Barkley vs ATL – In the initial two weeks of the season, Barkley has placed 52nd in week1 and 31st in week 2 (Full PPR scoring). If you are looking solely at the box score then this looks troubling. In his first week, Barkley saw a 48% snap count against a very good Denver run defense. Come week 2 his snap count was up to 84%. Once again, Washington has a good defense. Keep in mind the Giant’s first two cames came within a 4-day window due to playing the Thursday night game last week. Sunday he will be seeing the Atlanta Falcons who, in two weeks, are averaging 127 rushing yards a game against. This should be the beginning of more “Saquonesque” like games.

Baltimore Ravens WR, Marquise Brown @ DET – Marquise Brown is no stranger to hot starts to a season. By week 3 of his rookie season in 2019, he was the newest hottest guy to have. His stock has taken a bit of a bath since rising to recognition. What makes this season start different? In the last 8 games, 2 this season, and the last 6 regular-season games, “Hollywood” has reigned in 8 TDs. Plus, with the RB woes, they have seen you would figure Mark Andrews would become the safety blanket. Yet, Brown is leading the team in targets at 30% (Andrews 19% and Watkins 28%). Seeing that the Ravens may be in more shootouts than we are used to, the Detroit game will fit that mold, I think Brown and Andrews can easily fulfill fantasy football roster needs. Thinking this week Marquise will be in the WR2 discussion.

Minnesota Vikings QB, Kirk Cousins vs SEA – This will be the first home game of the year for the Minnesota Vikings. Their defense on paper should be WAY better than they have played. The results of their poor defensive play have been wondrous for Cousins. In the first two games of the year, Kirk has thrown for 595 yards and 5 touchdowns. There is also the emergence of training camp darling K.J. Osborn further deepening the WR depth chart Kirk has to play with. The Seattle Seahawks have allowed 598 passing yards so far. All that being said, I fully expect to watch Kirk throw for 300+ yards and 3 TDs this weekend. Don’t get me wrong, I am not claiming they will win. Just lots of glorious fantasy points.

Philadelphia Eagles TE, Dallas Goedert @ DAL – Monday Night Football at Jerry World. Dallas Goedert will have to be Jalen Hurts main man here. If the Cowboys have shown anything so far this season, it is that Trevon Diggs can go on lockdown. DeVonta Smith will most likely get that pleasure. I have said in the past the Cowboys are really good at standing strong on TEs. Here, however, I am betting on volume. Dallas Goedert’s target rate has been about the same as when Ertz was playing last year. Nothing too excited about my pick here. I just believe Goedert will have to be utilized more for Philly to keep pace.
