The Atlanta Braves are going back to the National League Championship Series after Freddie Freeman hit a late Homerun. It was a home run that will be remembered by many for years to come. Freeman’s solo homer came with two outs in the eighth inning off of Josh Hader. The solo shot gave the Braves a 5-4 win in Game 4 of the NL Division Series. The opposite-field blast capped off a three-hit night for Freeman.

The Braves have won three straight in the best-of-five series, the Braves earn a second straight trip to the NLCS. Check out the home run:

The Braves will face the winner of the Giants-Dodgers series. San Francisco leads 2-1.

Too Fond Of Memories?

This home run was not the only time that Freddie Freeman has hit a game-winning home run off of Hader. He also did so on May 18th, 2019. Since then, Hader had only allowed four home runs against left-handed hitters. With the most recent coming on Sept. 12, 2020.

While Freddie Freeman has made it clear that he wants to play his entire career with the Atlanta Braves. There was a chance that the 2020 NL MVP might have played elsewhere next season if the Braves would have lost the series. This year though, the Braves are looking to complete the quest and appear in the World Series.

RECAP

Charlie Morton started on short rest and didn’t have the energy needed. He only went 3 and 1/3 innings. He had recorded five strikeouts in the first three innings but struggled mightily in the fourth.

It was a good day for the Milwaukee Brewers offense as they saw consistent production up and down their lineup, with four guys recording an RBI.
