The Milwaukee Bucks have been down bad recently, but they will have the two-time MVP come back just in time. Giannis Antetokounmpo returned to the lineup for game four. After losing game three in Miami, the team is calling all hands. Reporters spotted Giannis warming up Monday morning for the first time since his injury. He went on to take part in team shoot-around after that.

Despite his return, the Bucks lost due to Jimmy Butler’s 56 point masterclass. Although Giannis did his part, finishing with a triple double; 26 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists. Coach Bud said he was “mostly phenomenal, to come back and play the way he did was very encouraging”. Not encouraging enough though as there season is on life support after going down three-one.

Giannis Antetokounmpo injured his back in game one. The injury was incurred when charged through Kevin Love on a layup and landed hard. He finished the game with six points in 11 minutes. While the timetable was uncertain, head coach Mike Budenholzer said after the game “We’ll monitor him and see how he wakes up tomorrow,”. Giannis had x-rays the next day showing no signs of any structural damage. He appeared to be dealing with a pain tolerance issue in his lower back which caused him to miss the next two games. The Bucks struggled without his presence in the paint as defensive player of the year candidate Brook Lopez got worked by all-star Bam Adebayo. They also allowed the Heat 60% from the three-point range in both losses. And they are doing this without Tyler Herro

He’s a true warrior, nothing will stop him from helping his team win another championship, but it will take another generational playoff performance to avoid historic upset.
