So far in the NHL season, many strong forwards have scored goals, created outstanding assists, and dominated on the ice. One of those top players would be Dallas Stars left-winger Jason Robertson.

Roberton’s Stats

Dallas Stars forward Jason Robertson is currently the NHL’s leading goal scorer this season. The 23-year-old Filipino-American has 22 goals in 24 games with 39 points.

In the Stars’ 5-0 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday night, Robertson recorded goals in the game’s three periods for the third hat trick of his career. Last March, Robertson became the first Dallas player to score hat tricks in back-to-back games.

Although it may be too soon to announce, Robertson is a top contender for the Hart Trophy this season. Robertson performed admirably in his first season as a rookie, coming close to a point-per-game average in scoring. He came in second place in the voting for the Calder Memorial Trophy in 2021-2022 with 41 goals.

Additionally, he led the Central Division-leading Stars (12-6-4, 28 points), who are currently in first place, to a 1-1-2 week and moved into the lead in the battle for the Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy.

Words From Jason Robertson and Stars Goaltender Jake Oettinger

According to TSN, Robertson said, “I’m just getting in position to shoot the puck, I mean, just got to get it past the first guy and get it on net,” he said. “It was just playing hockey, picking my head up, and seeing what’s available. … And it’s credit to guys who you don’t see on the scoresheet, the person who is screening the goalie.”

“Sometimes you just kind of sit back and laugh at just how good he is,” Stars goaltender Jake Oettinger said. “It’s special. He’s going to be doing that in green and white for a long time. I’m happy that he’s not doing that to me. He’s special.”
