A photo of LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels went viral last week because of the odd look of his right elbow. Daniels has since said that there is nothing wrong with his elbow.
The future top quarterback in the 2024 NFL Draft posted on social media, “my elbow is perfectly fine .. stop the cap!!”
Daniel’s performance last season at LSU, where he threw for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns with only four interceptions, showed that his elbow didn’t hinder him much.
Daniels is currently the frontrunner to be selected as the second overall pick by the Commanders. However, there’s a possibility he might drop to the Patriots at third if Washington opts for J.J. McCarthy from Michigan or Drake Maye from North Carolina.
Commanders’ fans have reason to be hopeful as many mock drafts predict Jayden Daniels as Washington’s second overall pick.
LSU coach Brian Kelly seemed to endorse these predictions during the Tigers’ Pro Day, expressing confidence in Daniels’ commitment to his health and dismissing concerns about his size. Kelly drew parallels to successful NFL quarterbacks like Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes, emphasizing Daniels’ ability to deliver the ball to his playmakers and make plays for Washington.
While it could just be a case of a coach praising his player and nudging teams towards drafting his quarterback. The ease with which Kelly discussed Daniels’ potential fit with the Commanders hints at a deeper level of insight. Does Kelly’s insight hint at secretive discussions with decision-makers in Washington’s front office, sparking speculation about insider connections?
