The Philadelphia 76ers and their MVP candidate closed out the new-look Brooklyn Nets, while the New York Knicks got a big win at the Garden courtesy of their high-scoring duo.

Knicks Duo Score Combined 69 Points

The Knicks took on the Utah Jazz as newly acquired guard Josh Hart made his New York debut with 11 points, seven rebounds and four assists coming off the bench. Alongside him was former college teammate Jalen Brunson with a game-high 38 points shooting 50% from the field. Down low was Julius Randle with 31 points and six rebounds as the Knicks duo took care of the Jazz and continued to carry New York to a possible playoff appearance. With tonight’s win, New York possibly elevates out of the play-in game and closer to sliding into the top six of the East.

Embiid Handles Business in Brooklyn

After a wild trade deadline, the Nets brough out their newly constructed team after trading away Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. In the first game together, the Nets competed against a title-contending Phildelphia team as the 76ers narrowly won 101-98. As chemisty devlops in Brooklyn, it’ll be worthwhile to see where this Nets team finishes as they currenlty hold the fifth seed in the East. For the 76ers Joel Embiid lead the way with 37 points and 13 rebounds with shooting 12-18 from the field. Embiid continues to put together MVP stats every night as James Harden can play the game in the style he perfers as Harden scored 29 points.

No Murray No Problem For Denver

The first place Denver Nuggets traveled to Charlotte to taken on the Hornets, but would be without Jamal Murray. Denver proved that their depth is one of the best in the league in outscoring Charlotte 119-105. Two-time MVP Nikola Jokic recoreded his 20th triple-double of the season with a 30/16/10 statline. Along side Jokic, six other Nuggets players scored double figures and as a team shot 51% on the night. Denver will remain the favorites in the West until one of the trade-happy teams prove themselves that they can beat the best.
