As of now, the new EA College Football 25 video game doesn’t plan to have real coaches, but that might change after Lane Kiffin said he want to be on the game.
“The kids like to play it,” Kiffin told Andy Staples of On 3. “When they’re picking the team, you would want recruits to play with the coach.
“My brain thinks about ‘What would help in recruiting?’ If you did pay me for that, I wouldn’t want it. I’d want you to put it into our NIL.”
So it sounds like Lane Kiffin would be open to being on there for free, that could be a win for EA. They need to take advantage of that. Ask around and see if other coaches would do it for free as well. Players are already going to be able to play a college, so why not allow the actual coaches on there? Rather than some Joe Random coach, who looks fake and would not help colleges.
Even if Kiffin isn’t part of the game. Ole Miss projects to be one of the better teams in the new video game. Especially with all of the new talent that Kiffin brought in via the Transfer Portal.
Current College Football Athletes were given the option to opt into the game, where they were offered $600 and a free copy for NIL. Arch Manning is the biggest name to say no. Why not offer Coaches to be part of the game? It just makes sense. Even if you were only able to get half of the 134 FBS Coaches to agree, that’d still be a win. Especially if it were for free.
Let me know what you think. Would you want to see/use your favorite coach in the new EA College Football 25?
