Lions to pass on QB?

Have the Lions found their Quarterback of the future? With the success that Jared Goff is seeming to have with another year in Dan Campbell’s system, it almost looks like the Lions may not need to draft a QB after all. Goff has been really good this season, throwing for 3,352 yards with 22 TD’s and only 7 INT.

The Lions are currently sitting 9th in the playoff picture at 6-7, but they have a pretty favorable schedule ahead of them the rest of the season compared to some of the teams in their way. Their last 4 games are against the Jets, Panthers, Bears, and Packers, all of which have struggled throughout the season. The toughest test could be the Jets, but I will take the Lions in a shootout against any of those teams. if they can finish the season 10-7 they set themselves up very nice to make the playoffs.

As for Goff, he’s only 28 and already has Super Bowl experience. If it were me, I would seriously consider passing on a QB for at least one more season and take a Defensive player to help build the somewhat lackluster defense.

The Jets are the next challenger for the Lions this Sunday at 1pm ET. If they can get past them, I think they can win out.
