The New York Mets and Max Scherzer have come to terms on a three year deal worth $130 million. Scherzer is going to receive 43 million dollars a year on this contract.
Max Scherzer is 37, and this contract will take him into his 40s. This past season, he went 15-4 with a 2.46 ERA. After he was dealt to the Dodgers last season, he went 7-0 with a 1.98 ERA.
Scherzer is just another big name that the Mets have added to their roster. He will join the starting rotation with Jacob DeGrom.
The Mets immediately enter the conversation for having the best starting rotation with two of the best starters in the MLB.
