Just a few months ago the Brooklyn Nets were favorite to lead the Eastern Conference going into the playoffs but should the Nets’ be worried? As of February 8th, 2022, the Brooklyn Nets’ have nosedived from the top of the Eastern Conference to the 7th seed.
James Harden has been injured with tightness in his left hamstring and his status for tonight’s game against the Boston Celtics has been upgraded to Out.
This will be the third consecutive game that Harden misses with the hamstring that has hindered his ability to be on the floor.
The Nets’ struggles have been well chronicled this season and it is in large part due to the injuries which the entire organization has been struggling with.
According to the team’s injury report, seven players are out for tonight’s game against the Celtics.

| Nicolas Claxton | Center | Hamstring |
| James Harden | Point Guard | Hamstring |

The Boston Celtics (30-25) are currently in the 8th seed and looking to jump the Nets’ in the standings with a win tonight. This game is important for both teams as neither team expected to be in the lower half of the playoff standings at this point in the season.
The Celtics are coming off a 116-83 win against the Orlando Magic. The team has also won seven of their last ten games and are looking to pounce on an injured Nets’ team.
Jason Tatum was also added as an injury replacement for Kevin Durant in the NBA All-Star game. This is his third-selection in a promising career. Tatum has averaged 25.6 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 4.1 assists.
Jalen Brown has also had a great season so far and is averaging 23.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3 assists per game.
Although the players go out to win every game they play in, this is a must-win for the Nets’ who are on the verge of dropping down to the 8th seed with a loss tonight.
