The New York Jets may be the most complete team within the top 10 of the 2024 NFL Draft. However, even that falls on whether or not Aaron Rodgers can stay healthy. If he does, then the Jets may be playoff-bound. If he doesn’t then, we might want to face the facts. It may be a long time before they do.
Pick No. 10 – Brock Bowers – Georgia TE
Many expect Bowers to be off the board by this point with the Chargers taking him. I don’t see it, the Chargers are more in need of OL help. No other team needs a Tight End until we get here to the Jets. They’ll have decisions to make when it comes to the 2024 NFL Draft. Bowers would be a great option. The Jets had some woes offensively, mainly due to Rodgers being out but they need another playmaker. He’s one of the few blue-chip prospects in this year’s draft. Each of the past three seasons, Bowers caught 56+ catches for 700+ yards and 6+ touchdowns.
Pick No. 72 – Zach Frazier – West Virginia IOL
One of the positions that the Jets need to address this offseason is their offensive line. Whether it be through the 2024 NFL Draft or free agency, the Jets need to do a better job at protecting their quarterbacks. Frazier is an athlete with power and size. He’d fit on the offensive line, no matter what team he lands with.
Pick No. 111 – Jalen McMillan – Washington WR
Injuries marred a more productive season out of McMillan. Even then he still racked 39 catches for 526 yards and four scores. McMillan comes with great speed and awareness. He would provide the Jets with another offensive weapon for Rodgers. McMillan has the versatility to play anywhere whether it be on the boundary, in the slot, or off motions.
Pick No. 113 – Marshawn Lloyd – USC RB
The running back position isn’t really a need for the Jets, but after losing Dalvin Cook it wouldn’t hurt to have some depth. Lloyd is one of the quickest runners in the country. He can change directions with ease. He’s a dynamic threat out of the backfield who can both run and catch passes. He could work his way up the depth chart behind Breece Hall.
Pick No. 186 – Trevin Wallace – Kentucky LB
Wallace can come at the offensive player like a hurricane. He hits fast and hard. Though, he may need some time to develop in just one spot. He’s a playmaker on the defensive end, finishing the 2023 season with 80 total tackles, 8.5 TFL, 5.5 sacks and one interception.
Pick No. 252 – Myles Harden – South Dakota CB
This deep in the draft there’s talent, but not a lot of big names. Adding some depth on the defensive side wouldn’t hurt. Drafting Harden would be unknown, he played in the FCS. But had 27 tackles and one interception in 2023.
Pick No. 253 – Khalid Duke – Kansas State LB
An undersized edge rusher who excels at the pass rush. Duke finished the 2023 season with 8 TFL and six sacks. He’s competitive and brings a fiery personality to the trenches. He aligns in various stances and shows explosiveness in all of them.
Pick No. 256 – Fabien Lovett – Florida State DL
A spring defender on the interior who provides adequate run and pass support. The senior finished with 22 tackles, four tackles for loss and a sack in 2023. The problem with Lovett is that he can be late to disengage, but he’s an intriguing prospect due to his quickness.
