With the end of the NFL Super Wild Card Weekend, the schedule is set for next weekend’s Divisional Round. Two games will be on Jan. 20, with the remaining two on Jan. 21. Each day will feature one AFC matchup and one NFC matchup.
The Houston Texans were the first team to book their spot in the Divisional Round. They defeated Joe Flacco and the Browns 45-14 on Saturday. In one of the coldest games in NFL history, the Kansas City Chiefs came out on top at home against the Miami Dolphins 26-7 on Saturday night.
Sunday featured the biggest upset of Super Wild Card Weekend, as the Green Bay Packers eliminated the Dallas Cowboys with a 48-32 victory. In the second game, the Detroit Lions spoiled Matthew Stafford’s return as Detroit won its first playoff game since 1992. The Lions defeated the Los Angeles Rams 24-23.
After a big snowstorm pushed back the game until Monday, the Buffalo Bills took care of business in front of their home crowd, defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-17. In the final matchup of Super Wild Card Weekend, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers pulled off the upset as they cruised to a 32-9 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Texans, Chiefs, Packers, Lions, Bills, and Buccaneers will all be in action in the Divisional Round. Joining them are the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers, who each earned a first-round bye by winning their respective conference.
