The NFL season is here and we’re looking at our favorite Player Prop bets for Week 1. Here below are the top 5 NFL Player Prop bets to go after for this weekend. All betting lines are from DraftKings Sportsbook.
Prop Bets #1: Julio Jones over 62.5 receiving yards
In his 9 active games last year with the Atlanta Falcons, Jones averaged 85.7 receiving yards per game. Also, the Arizona Cardinals play at a fast pace. Finally, the Titan’s defense is below average. This game has all the makings to be very high-scoring. Expect Jones to have a big day in his Titan’s debut.
Prop Bets #2: DeVonta Smith over 43.5 receiving yards
This is another game that has all the makings of a shootout. As the Philadelphia Eagle’s number 1 wide receiver, expect plenty of targets to go Smith’s way. Furthermore, playing against a below-average Atlanta Falcons passing defense, the opportunity is there for Smith to make a huge impact in his NFL debut. As a result, he can smash his Player Prop bet line of 43.5 receiving yards.
Prop Bet #3: Joe Burrow under 264.5 passing yards
The Cincinnati Bengals are playing the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. The Vikings improved their defense in the offseason and I’m having a hard time trusting the Bengal’s offense. In Burrow’s first game back from injury, expect some rust in Week 1 and, as a result, throwing for less than 264.5 passing yards.
Prop Bet #4: Brandin Cooks over 57.5 receiving yards
This is the third shootout we are going to dive into today. The Houston Texans vs the Jacksonville Jaguars has some high-scoring potential. Both teams are below average on defense so expect these offenses to put up some big points. Cooks was great last year. In 15 active games last year, he averaged 76.2 receiving yards per game.
Prop Bet #5: Tua Tagovailoa under 235.5 passing yards
Tua going against Bill Belichick’s New England Patriots is a bad match-up. In his 10 active games, Tua only averaged 181.4 passing yards per game. This game could be low-scoring and very run-heavy. Tua may have a very solid season, but he draws a tough matchup in Week 1.
