NHL Names First 32 All-Star Selections

Sidney Crosby, Auston Matthews, and Connor Bedard highlight the group from the first batch of 2024 NHL All-Star selections the league unveiled Thursday. The NHL selected one player from each of the 32 teams to be represented at the All-Star Game, while the fans will decide the final 12 players (eight skaters, four goalies) through the All-Star Fan Vote. The voting is open now and will close on Jan. 11.

The 32 NHL All-Star Selections

Anaheim Ducks: F Frank Vatrano

Frank Vatrano went from undrafted to All-Star, earning his first appearance after recording 27 points in 37 games.

Arizona Coyotes: F Clayton Keller

Clayton Keller is just 25 years old and has been named an All-Star for the fourth time.

Boston Bruins: F David Pastrnak

David Pastrnak has 23 goals this season to earn his fourth All-Star selection.

Buffalo Sabres: D Rasmus Dahlin

Defenseman Rasmus Dahlin is heading to the All-Star game for the third consecutive year.

Calgary Flames: F Elias Lindholm

One of the first-time NHL All-Star selections this year, Elias Lindholm has 25 points in 38 games.

Carolina Hurricanes: F Sebastian Aho

Sebastian Aho has 43 points this season and is an All-Star for the third time.

Chicago Blackhawks: F Connor Bedard

2023 first-overall pick Connor Bedard is going to the All-Star game as a rookie after putting up 33 points in 38 games.

Colorado Avalanche: F Nathan MacKinnon

Tied for the league lead in points this season, Nathan MacKinnon makes his seventh All-Star appearance.

Columbus Blue Jackets: F Boone Jenner

First-time All-Star Boone Jenner has 13 goals this season for the Blue Jackets.

Dallas Stars: G Jake Oettinger

Goaltender Jake Oettinger is going to the All-Star game for the first time in his career.

Detroit Red Wings: F Alex DeBrincat

Alex DeBrincat has 38 points in 39 games and is heading to his second All-Star game.

Edmonton Oilers: F Connor McDavid

2015 first-overall pick and seven-time All-Star Connor McDavid has 53 points this season.

Florida Panthers: F Sam Reinhart

Sam Reinhart is a first-time All-Star after collecting 47 points in 38 games.

Los Angeles Kings: G Cam Talbot

36-year-old goaltender Cam Talbot, who has a 2.10 goals against average, was named an All-Star for the second time.

Minnesota Wild: F Kirill Kaprizov

Three-time All-Star Kirill Kaprizov is averaging a point per game this season with the Wild.

Montreal Canadiens: F Nick Suzuki

Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki is heading to his third All-Star game.

Nashville Predators: F Filip Forsberg

Filip Forsberg has 43 points this season and is an All-Star selection for the second time.

New Jersey Devils: F Jack Hughes

2019 first-overall pick Jack Hughes is a three-time All-Star at 22 years old.

New York Islanders: F Mathew Barzal

Mathew Barzal is making his third All-Star appearance after collecting 39 points in 37 games.

New York Rangers: G Igor Shesterkin

Igor Shesterkin has 16 wins this season and is a two-time All-Star.

Ottawa Senators: F Brady Tkachuk

24-year-old Brady Tkachuk is heading to his fourth All-Star game.

Philadelphia Flyers: F Travis Konecny

Travis Konecny has reached the 20-goal mark this season and is named an All-Star for the second time.

Pittsburgh Penguins: F Sidney Crosby

10-time All-Star Sidney Crosby has the most NHL All-Star selections of the 32 players named.

San Jose Sharks: F Tomas Hertl

2012 first-round draft pick Tomas Hertl is making his second All-Star appearance.

Seattle Kraken: F Oliver Bjorkstrand

Kraken forward Oliver Bjorkstrand is an All-Star for the first time in his career.

St. Louis Blues: F Robert Thomas

Selected as an All-Star for the first time, Robert Thomas has 41 points with the Blues this season.

Tampa Bay Lightning: F Nikita Kucherov

One of the best players in the league, Nikita Kucherov is an All-Star for the fifth time.

Toronto Maple Leafs: F Auston Matthews

Auston Matthews leads the league with 30 goals this season and is a seven-time All-Star.

Vancouver Canucks: D Quinn Hughes

Defenseman Quinn Hughes is an All-Star for the second time in his young career.

Vegas Golden Knights: F Jack Eichel

Four-time All-Star Jack Eichel has 40 points in 39 games this season.

Washington Capitals: F Tom Wilson

Capitals 2012 first-round pick Tom Wilson is a two-time All-Star.

Winnipeg Jets: G Connor Hellebuyck

Named an All-Star for the fourth time, goaltender Connor Hellebuyck is 19-6-3 this season.

NHL All-Star Weekend takes place Feb. 1-3 in Toronto. The event kicks off with the return of the player draft on Feb. 1, followed by the new look NHL All-Star Skills competition, which takes place on Feb. 2. All-Star weekend wraps up on Feb. 3 with the NHL All-Star Game.
