The New York Knicks will look to lose their four game losing against the Houston Rockets. Both teams will be short-handed with the Rockets losing Jalen Green and Kevin Porter jr. While the Knicks will be without R.J. Barrett and Obi Toppin against the Rockets.
Keys to Knicks Getting Ein
Keep the Rockets Under 100 Points
New York Knicks, in the last five games, their opponents scored under 100 points; they are 4-1. The most recent opponent scoring lower than 100 points was against the Raptors when they allowed only 90 points. The Rockets losing their top two scores should let the Knicks get pressure early and force tough shots. The leading scorer from the Rockets to look out, for now, will be the center Christian Wood. Wood averages 16.5 points and 11.1 rebounds so far this season.
Guards Must Get Involved
In the Knicks’ last game of the Warriors, the guards of Derrick Rose, Alec Burks, and Evan Fournier combined for 10 for 33 from the field. That resulted in only 31 points for the Knicks. With R.J. Barrett being out tonight, look for better performances from the guards, especially Alec Burks. Burks was assigned to guard Stephen Curry when Curry got the NBA for most three-pointers made on Tuesday. But as well, Burks shot four for 15 from the field.
Score Above 100 Points
The Knicks offense has struggled and is one of the main reasons for the four-game losing streak. The last time the Knicks scored above 100 points was against the Pacers with 102 points. Kemba Walker going out of the rotation could be one of the winnings. But for tonight, the Rockets have allowed their opponents to score 100 points since last month against the Thunder. Julius Randle and Derrick Rose need to get their team back on track with a solid win against a rebuilding Houston Rockets.
