The long-expected WWE return for Trinity Fatu who is better known as the ring name she used in the WWE… Naomi. According to Sean Ross Sapp of FightfulSelect.com, Naomi may be on her way back to the WWE.

Fatu, who is married to a Bloodline member and one-half of the Usos (Jimmy), got her start in the WWE as part of the funkadactyls (Naomi and Cameron). Starting in 2014, she had become part of the Divas revolution. Eventually winning her first title on the main roster on February 12, 2017. From there, she became part of various storylines. Including one with Mandy Rose, who at the time was flirting with Naomi’s real-life husband Jimmy.

On May 16, both Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of the WWE after a creative dispute with Vince McMahon. With Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque now in charge of creative and the company under new ownership, there has been interest in bringing both Mercedes Mone and Fatu back. The talks with the former have reportedly fallen through.

As of now, she is the Impact Knockouts World Champion in Impact Wrestling. Both the WWE and Impact believe that she will re-join the WWE barring any changes. Though she’ll most likely come back full-time when her contract ends she could make an appearance at Royal Rumble. Current TNA/Impact diva, Mickie James had made some appearances at the event while being under contract.

Return of The Glow

One of the best “gimmicks” in her career was “The Glow”. The switch back to her old stomping grounds could happen soon. There are no reports of exactly how long her contract with Impact was, but one report states it wasn’t a long deal.

One of the best ways to have her return would be at the Royal Rumble which is set to take place Jan. 27. Have everyone in the ring stop as they await the next entrant, the lights go out, and the “neon blur” appears and Naomi’s theme song “Amazing” hits.

There has long been the thought that the WWE could add some females to The Bloodline, but with the way that the storyline is set to play out over the next few months that may no longer be the case.
