The Seahawks are expecting Russell Wilson to miss a month, via Jeremy Fowler. This could extend to 6-8 weeks, as Wilson has a ruptured tendon in his middle finger that will likely require surgery.

The injury was sustained in a Thursday Night Football game against the Rams. Wilson threw a deep pass in the fourth quarter when his hand hit the wrist of Aaron Donald.

For now, Geno Smith will be the starting quarterback for the Seahawks. Smith had a strong showing last night, completing five passes for 72 yards and a touchdown after Wilson left the game. The game was over however when Geno Smith threw an interception after Tyler Lockett tripped while chasing the ball. ***
