
Seattle Storm social media announced that franchise great Sue Bird will return to the team. Bird is entering her 19th season in the league. Many felt the elimination game against the Phoenix Mercury in the playoffs was the final time she be on the court competitively. The crowd chanted one more year, and Bird is happy to oblige.

This is probably it for the one of the greatest to ever do it. Seattle made some moves the last couple of seasons to reload and add more pieces. We’ll see if the Storm go all in again in an attempt to send their greatest player ever out in style.
