Big E posted an update about his neck injury. Last night on Smackdown, Big E broke his neck in a tag match against Ridge Holland & Sheamus. This resulted in him being taken out on a stretcher. Big E revealed last night on Twitter that he broke his neck. The injury occurred when Big E was dropped on his head in a botched suplex.

Today, Big E posted an update: “So, I got some really good news, uh all things considered. The C1 and C6 are indeed fractured, not displacement though which is a very good thing. And I don’t have any damage to my spinal cord, no ligament damage, and no surgery which I’m very thankful for.”

Ridge Holland, tag team partner with Sheamus, visited Big E in the hospital. An injury like this is such a terrible thing, not only for the man who got injured but the other person as well. I feel for Ridge Holland as I’m certain that he in no way wanted to hurt Big E. This is wrestling though, and sometimes these things happen.

Big E is part of one of the most successful tag teams in recent WWE History, known as the New Day. His partners are Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, who is also out for an injury. He held the tag titles a total of 8 times in WWE. In addition, he is a former WWE Champion and a former NXT champion. He was also a 2-time Intercontinental Champion, and a Money in the Bank winner.

There is no word yet on when the former WWE Champion is coming back. However, not having to have surgery means it could be sooner, not later. I for one, look forward to his return. When he returns I hope he’ll get another run with the WWE Championship. In the meantime, get well soon Big E!
