The Royal Rumble is one day away, this Saturday Jan 28.

Though anything could change at the last minute as we saw on Monday Night Raw, but it appears that this years Rumble winners have already been chosen. Per reports, the WWE has known who they’ve wanted this years matches for quite some time. The WWE Royal Rumble is the second-biggest show of the year.

When it comes to the Rumble, it means that the WWE is on the ‘Road to Wrestlemania.’ For many years, Creative control executives have gone back-and-forth on who should win, that doesn’t appear to be an issue this year.

In some ways, the return of Cody Rhodes at the big event was a horribly kept secret, that forced the WWE to announce it. Every WWE fan had expected he’d be an entrant whether they did or not. According to Ringside News, WWE decided on the winner of the men’s and women’s Rumble matches several weeks ago.

The report notes that Rhodes and Rhea Ripley are current favorites but there is no indication they are the handpicked favorites for 2023. The former has been named the favorite among fans since he announced his intention to win the WWE Championship last year. Unfortunately, Rhodes had a set back and suffered the torn pec injury before the 2022 Hell in a Cell and no matter what his entrant number, he seems primed to dominate in the big match.
