Trevor Zegras broke the internet last month when he made the first ever “Michigan assist” – an alley-oop on ice to Anaheim Ducks teammate Sonny Milano. The rookie forward made an incredible lacrosse-style goal on Thursday against the Montreal Canadiens, which became famous after it was popularized by the University of Michigan’s Mike Legg.

The Play

Zegras seized the opportunity, skating down the right side of the rink, picking up the loose puck from a scrum of three players like it was nothing, and casually dumping it over the shoulder of Canadiens goalkeeper Sam Montembeault.
