It’s always exciting this time of year, late August, and with College Football right around the corner. The 2022 Season will bring the most competitive season to date. There are more great Quarterbacks than ever. There are also up to 19 teams that have potential to get into the playoffs with about 5 of those teams that can win it all.

Why Ohio State Wins the CFB Championship
Ohio State will have the best offense in college football. CJ Stroud at Quarterback and Treyveon Henderson at Running Back both are top 2 at their position in the entire country. Jaxson Smith-Njiba is the best receiver in college, with Marvin Harrison JR and Emeka Egbuka two other first round NFL receiver talents. After a down year on defense, Ohio State will once again have a top 10 defense. With young players like JT Tuimoloau, Jack Sawyer, Denzel Burke, Tyleik Willams, Sonny Styles, and CJ Hicks. To go along with the all-big ten caliber upperclassmen Zach Harrison, Lathan Ransom, Cameron Brown, and Josh Proctor. This gives the Ohio State defense talent across all positions to combine with the best offense is why Ohio State will be National Champions.

While Bryce Young is the best player in college football, I think because of the difficulty of winning the Heisman twice, and the significantly better offensive support cast CJ Stroud will have over Young is why he will be second. Not taking anything away from CJ Stroud as I believe he’s the 2nd best Quarterback in College and will dominate this season.
Freshman of the Year
Nick Singleton RB Penn State
It’s going to be tough for a lot of freshman Quarterbacks and Wide Receivers to get starts so I went with Singleton who will be one of Penn State’s best players as a true freshman.
Breakout Player of the Year
Cameron Ward QB Washington State
After Tearing up the FCS as a 19 y/o, Ward transferred to the power 5 level at Washington State. He’s tall, athletic, with a cannon arm, and is the complete package at QB. I think Cameron Ward will translate that to the highest level of college football, become all PAC12, and will be a 1st round pick in the 2023 NFL draft.
Best Defensive Player
Will Anderson LB Alabama
There’s not much to say here, Will Anderson is undoubtedly the best defensive player in college. Anderson is one of the best college players of all time and will be in consideration for the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft.
