With the recent news of USC and UCLA leaving the Pac-12 for the Big 12, There has been a lot of speculation as to how many more teams would depart for the bigger conferences as well.
In a tweet seen below, Dennis Dodd of CBS is apparently in discussions to add up to Six Pac-12 teams. Obviously the next to leave would be Oregon, and then probably Utah. From there it is really up for debate. I could see UW, WSU, Arizona, and Cal and maybe even Colorado being the other schools to leave. Oregon State could also be there with their esteemed Baseball Program.
While there is no confirmation on these teams, I don’t think the Big 12 would choose to add Arizona State over Arizona, although no one really saw these massive conference changes coming in the first place.
Pac-12 Media Rights
The Pac-12 Tweeted out a statement in which the Conference will now start negotiating its next media rights agreement.
The Pac-12 Board of Directors met this morning and authorized the Conference to immediately begin negotiations for its next media rights agreements.

Does this mean that they are gearing up for a significant loss of schools? Could this potentially end the Pac-12? I don’t necessarily think it is the end, but I do think they are in trouble if they do not act quick. I think the first move would be to add Boise State University, one of the top Group of Five schools. From there it is anyones guess as to who they may try to add.

You don’t mention anything about University of Washington. Do you think they are a likely move into the Big 12? Or are they a holdout in what looks to be a massive salvage effort for the Pac 12, or should I say, Pac 6?
UW Definitley is up there as well. I totally forgot about them but they are probably third to Oregon and Utah.
