Kadyn Proctor becomes the second Bama player to enter the transfer portal on the day, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports.

The last week has been a flurry for the Crimson Tide. It all started with the retirement of Nick Saban. The Tide saw many coaches including Oregon’s Dan Lanning decline the coaching vacancy. Eventually, they found a replacement with former Washington coach Kalen DeBoer. After the retirement by Saban, the players were given a 30-day window to decide whether they wanted to enter the transfer portal. Now, many top players are entering the transfer portal. Earlier today, Freshman Safety Caleb Downs entered the portal and now Proctor joins him.

Proctor started all 14 games for the Crimson Tide in 2024. He won the battle with Elijah Pritchett coming out of the preseason camp. Solidifying himself as a starter. He had some early season struggles but got better throughout the season. Most players gave the program 72 hours to hire a new head coach like AD Greg Byrne requested.

The 6-foot-7, 360-pound Kadyn Proctor, who was named to the SEC’s all-freshman team by the league’s coaches, will likely become a highly sought-after lineman. Prior to the 2023, he flipped his commitment from Iowa to Alabama. However, those two schools weren’t the only programs that were recruiting Proctor. He drew scholarship offers from big names, including Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Alabama, Oregon and Ole Miss. Many of those programs will likely go after him in the transfer portal as well.
