We are just days away from the release of the new EA Sports College Football 25 game. Months ago it was reported that Texas Longhorns QB Arch Manning would not be on the EA Sports game. That will no longer be the case.
On Tuesday, he opted in. He announced through a video post on X that starts with his Uncle Eli calling out a play. Then it transitions to the sophomore backup making the play call with a shout-out to Omaha and his other uncle, Peyton Manning. Then Arch Manning can be seen playing the game in which he throws a Touchdown. “Touchdown! Now that’s why you’re in the game,” exclaims the former New York Giants QB, Eli.
Arch Manning then says, “EA Sports, I’m in the game.”
Manning will enter the season as the backup to Quinn Ewers. He attempted just five passes last season, but raised some eyebrows during the spring game. At least, that’s what I’ve heard. According to ESPN, he went 19-for-26 and threw for 355 yards and three touchdown passes.
There have been over 10,000 players that have opted into the game. EA Sports will pay each of them through NIL with a value of $600 and a copy of the game. For Arch Manning, making the decision to enter the game was smart. A lot of College Football fans will use him in the various gameplay modes.
We can’t wait for this game to come out. Stay tuned for more content focused on the game. We also have some big plans coming when the game releases. The last time we played an EA Sports College Football game was in 2014, though Fantom Sports was not around then.
