Bronny James

A day that was somewhat expected, but no one was sure when it would happen. That day is today. Bronny James will enter the NBA Draft. Rich Paul, the CEO of Klutch Sports Group, will represent Bronny. Paul also represents Bronny’s father LeBron James Sr.

“I’ve had a year of ups and downs but all added to growth for me as a man, student and athlete.” Bronny James stated on his Instagram.

Not only has Bronny James declared for the NBA Draft, but he will also simultaneously enter the Transfer Portal. If Paul and Bronny don’t like the draft standing they will use his college eligibility as a fallback option. Entering both the transfer portal and the NBA Draft will conclude the one-season at USC. A season that saw James unexpectedly come off the bench after a health scare.

Bronny appeared in 25 games for the Trojans, starting six and averaging 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 19.3 minutes.

On April 3rd, LeBron was unsure where the transfer portal rumors had come from. While he also stated that his son had some tough decisions to make.

“At the end of the day, Bronny’s his own man,” LeBron said after the Lakers’ win over the Raptors in Toronto. “He has some tough decisions to make, and when he’s ready to make those decisions, he’ll let us all know. But as his family, we’re going to support whatever he does.”

The dream for both is to become the first Father-Son duo in NBA history. The 39-year-old has repeatedly stated that he wants to. Bronny James will likely test the waters of his standing the Combine and workouts with NBA teams. It makes sense for him to do so. If he does return to the collegiate ranks, a couple of teams to watch for are Oregon, Ohio State and Duke… just to name a few.
