The Los Angeles Clippers will host the 2026 All-Star game at their new arena, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. The NBA is currently finalizing plans for the Clippers to host the event at the Intuit Dome, which will open before the 2024-25 season.

After sharing the Crypto.com Arena (formerly known as the Staples Center) with the Los Angeles Lakers since 1999, the Clippers will have their own arena starting next season. Clippers owner Steve Balmer led the group that built the Intuit Dome. TurboTax owner Intuit paid over $500 million to secure the naming rights to the arena for 23 years.

Host Teams For 2024 And 2025

The Indiana Pacers are hosting this year’s edition of the All-Star Game, which is on Feb. 18. It will be the second time the city of Indianapolis hosts the All-Star Game, and the first time it is at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

In 2025, the Golden State Warriors will host the event for the third time. The team hosted the All-Star Game in 1967 and 2000. 2025 will mark the first time the game is at Chase Center, which opened in 2019.

With the NBA awarding the Clippers the 2026 All-Star Game, Los Angeles will host the event for a record seventh time. The All-Star Game was previously held in Los Angeles in 1963, 1972, 1983, 2004, 2011, and 2018.

The Clippers will be hoping Paul George and Kawhi Leonard will be a part of the game when Los Angeles hosts in 2026. Leonard is fresh off signing a three-year, $152.4 million contract extension with the Clippers. The new deal keeps him in Los Angeles through the 2026-27 season. With Leonard locked up long-term, the Clippers are now focusing their attention on getting a deal done with George.
