The Philadelphia Eagles to this point are considered the “hottest” or “best” team depending who you ask. The Eagles are the last undefeated team in the NFL to this point and they just got a little better. They have been adding depth via trades early this season, and today is no different.

Eagles Add Defensive Line Depth

The Chicago Bears traded away pro-bowl DE Robert Quinn to the Eagles, giving the Philly even more weapons on that defensive line. According to Ian Rapoport via twitter, for a fourth round draft pick.

Fans and players of the Bears are stunned for two reasons at the trade. One, only getting a 4th round draft pick some fans feel are soft and think they could of squeezed out another late round pick at minimum.

Second, the fans and players on the Chicago Bears are upset that the team is cleaning house even though moves like this seemed inevitable a few weeks ago.

Players React

Roquan Smith was in the middle of a press conference when he heard about the trade and was visibly upset and cut the press conference short.

It is unclear if his emotions were due to losing a teammate or if his own future with the franchise is now in question.

Two things that are clear however, is that the Eagles are getting better every week while the Bears are on the opposite side of that spectrum.

Chicago seems to be in the beginning of a rebuild.
