Going into next season, I would like to see a talented, but hungry squad who are eager to fight for their place in the team. No player should be a guaranteed starter, although we know there’s a few undroppable players in the team.

Goalkeepers: Courtois, Lunin,
Defenders: Carvajal, Militao, Alaba, Vallejo, Nacho, Rudiger, Mendy
Midfielders: Kroos, Modric, Casemiro, Fede Valverde, Lucas Vasquez, Tchouameni, Ceballos, Camavinga
Attackers: Hazard, Benzema, Asensio, Vini Jr, Mariano, Rodrygo, Jovic

Of course Rudiger was brought in to start alongside either Militao or Alaba, but for the first two or three games, I would continue where we left off last season. I think Alaba and Militao have amazing chemistry so I wouldn’t break their partnership up right away. We saw that this team can do damage to the best teams in the world so everything should be good for those games. Expect the likes of Rudiger, Tchouameni, Camavinga and Rodrygo to come off the bench during those matches.
Alternate Lineup
This will most likely be the lineup that is used the most by Carlo.

The only changes are Rudiger in for Mendy and Alaba moved to left back.
Rotational Lineup
Last season, the 4-4-2 formation didn’t work and Carlo Ancelotti opted for 4-3-3 most of the time. Los Blancos didn’t have the player profiles required to play the 4-4-2. With the addition of Aurelien Tchouameni, we may now see Carlo deploy the 4-4-2 more often.

Away at Camp Nou, El Clasico, Title Decider, who are you starting?
This is always a difficult question to answer because as we know, in football, nothing is certain. Injuries, form and suspensions can all be direct impacts on the XI. However, as things stand, this will be my starting lineup going into a title deciding Clasico.

I may have raised some eyebrows with the selection of Mendy over Alaba but I personally prefer Mendy over Alaba because of his wonderful defensive ability. This team will do damage to Barca as it has good energy, speed and technical security. It’ll be interesting to see what Carlo goes with if he’s in the same situation but let’s hope we’re not in a title race by the time the second Clasico comes around.
Conclusion
Ultimately, we have a quality squad right now with a mix of youth and experience. For me, the midfield and defense are solid, but we still need some more offensive firepower. Once Jovic, Mariano and Asensio leaves, I think another attacker will be added to the squad.
