The Phoenix Suns have had a rough start to the season to say the least. The Suns are currently 14-15, and sit in 11th place in the Western Conference. They are on a three-game losing streak and have lost seven of their last 10 games. To make things worse, Kevin Durant is now frustrated with the Suns’ supporting cast.

Adrian Wojnarowski On Durant’s Frustrations With Suns’ Supporting Cast

“You talk to people in Phoenix and around that organization, you know, they can feel the frustration with Durant,” ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Monday on NBA Countdown. “Part of that, certainly, is the missed games for Brad Beal. This team was built around those three stars. The underwhelming supporting cast, that comes from those massive trades for Durant and Bradley Beal that really gutted the organization and left them having to sign a lot of minimum players to fill out the payroll.”

“This is something they’re going to have to manage in Phoenix with Kevin Durant,” Wojnarowski continued. “You’ve seen it before, and it reminds you, it is a stark reminder, of how short of a window, and how this team has to win big, and they have to win big quickly. Based on how it was constructed and having Kevin Durant still playing at an All-NBA level, and a healthy Kevin Durant, there’s a lot at stake for this organization. It’s gotta change soon.”

Beal is currently out with a right ankle sprain. He suffered the injury on Dec. 15, which happened in just his third game after returning from a back injury that kept him out for a month. Beal has only appeared in six games this season, averaging 14.7 points per game.

The Suns’ All-Star trio have played just one full game together, which came in a 116-112 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Dec. 13.

Durant has been the only bright spot for the Suns as they struggle. He is averaging 30.3 points per game, the fifth-best in the league. The Suns will be hoping that the team can turn things around quickly since who knows how much more losing Durant can take before he has had enough.
