The Angels Set Two Franchise Records in One Game
This trade between the two western division teams comes directly after an Angels 25-1 blowout against the Colorado Rockies. This absolute offensive explosion from the Angels set a new franchise record for most runs scored in a single game. On top of this record, the Halos also set another franchise record for most runs scored in a single inning with 13. Within the record setting inning, the Angels lineup crushed back-to-back-to-back home runs.
With this win, the Angels find themselves six games behind the first place Rangers in the AL West. However, they currently hold one of the four AL wild card spots. The Angels are hoping to continue playing good baseball and return to the postseason for the first time since 2014.
