Following this season the New York Giants will resume pursuing Odell Beckham Jr to bolster its offense. Last season the Giants experienced some success for the first time in a long while. They made the playoffs and won during wild card weekend against the Minnesota Vikings. Despite winning a playoff game the wide receiver room faced some challenges. Those obstacles could call for a union between Beckham Jr and the Giants.

Giants Wide Receiver Room

The Giants won their first playoff game in 11 years. That playoff game did not come without some injuries to one of the most important positions. The team’s top four options at wide receiver were either injured or traded away. Therefore the plan for wide receiver did fall apart early in the season. For this purpose outside help should be pursued this off-season. Even though this wide receiver market isn’t very flashy. This should make Beckham Jr even more intriguing for the Giants. Along with the pursuit of more offensive weapons in free agency the trade market is a viable option too.

Odell Beckham Jr Will Be An Option In Free Agency

Last season there was interest from both the Giants and Beckham Jr. However the team did not view him as a realistic candidate to help last season. Due to Beckham Jr’s recovery from his second ACL injury, many believed it would be a stretch for him to have played. Along with Beckham Jr’s injury status and what was called unrealistic price demands. The Giants and other suitors backed off. However, this off-season Beckham Jr will be a factor in free agency.

Odell Beckham Jr’s Health

Assuming that Beckham Jr has used the past few months to move closer to 100% or even 80% many teams will have an interest. Many will look for Beckham to be who was in the Super Bowl before his second ACL injury. Beckham has shown steady interest in a reunion with the Giants. So, therefore, the Giants should be in the mix to bring Beckham Jr back. Although Beckham Jr may not be fully interested if there is a move to part ways with both Sterling Shepard and Saquon Barkley. Both young players are impending free agents.

Multiple Suitors For Odell Beckham Jr

Beckham Jr should have multiple teams showing interest this off-season. The Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Rams are expected to show interest as well. Both teams showed interest a season ago in signing Beckham Jr. With this year’s underwhelming receiver market it will be interesting to see how many teams actually show Beckham Jr interest. The last time the standout receiver was playing was in the Super Bowl catching the first touchdown of the game. The second ACL tear killed the possibility of him playing in 2022. Beckham Jr will now join the likes of JuJu Smith-Schuster, Jakobi Meyers, Allen Lazard, DJ Chark and many others.
