Gatlin Bair

The recruits just keep on coming for the Oregon Ducks. No nod that is a bad thing. According to Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports, 5-star Wide Receiver Gatlin Bair will be headed to Oregon.

The Idaho native, who was previously committed to Boise State, chose the Ducks over Michigan. There is a caveat in his commitment though. He plans to be an LDS mission and won’t enroll until 2026. Still, his commitment is a building block for the future success at Oregon.

“I’m super excited about Oregon and what coach (Dan) Lanning is building,” said Gatlin Bair. “He is one of the most ambitious coach’s I’ve ever been around and they’re on track to compete in the Big Ten and win some titles. Junior (Adams) does a great job with developing receivers and they’re running an offense that any receiver would want to be a part of.”

Gatlin Bair is considered the No. 6 receiver prospect and five-star recruit according to 24/7 Sports. He recommitted from Boise State after they fired Andy Avalos, from there his recruitment had really come down to two schools: Michigan and Oregon.

Bair is the highest-rated prospect to come out of Idaho and is the fastest player in the 2024 recruiting class. The elite playmaker gives Oregon something to be excited about in ’26 when he enrolls. As a former three-sport athlete, he’ll have the ability to play anywhere that Lanning and the crew want to place him.

“I can play inside and outside, it’s wherever I can play, especially going in my freshman year, I just want to prove myself,” said Bair.  “I played this year as a senior, primarily in the slot.”
