Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins has entered the transfer portal with two years of eligibility remaining.

This season, he became the first SEC player since Herschel Walker to score 15 or more touchdowns in his first two seasons of college. With first-round draft potential, Judkins will quickly become the best offensive player available in the portal.

Quinshon Judkins’ Career at Ole Miss

Judkins was immediately an impact player when he arrived on campus at Ole Miss. In his freshman season, he topped all SEC running backs with 1,567 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns. His productive season earned him 2022 SEC Freshman of the Year honors along with an All-SEC selection.

As a sophomore, Judkins continued his dominance with 1,158 rushing yards and led the SEC with 15 rushing touchdowns. He helped lead Ole Miss to its first 11-win season in school history, capped off by a 38-25 win against Penn State in the Peach Bowl.

Potential Landing Spots for Quinshon Judkins

You rarely see offensive players of this caliber entering the portal. Caleb Williams and Jordan Addison are a few in recent memory, but with Ole Miss returning several offensive starters and gearing up for a playoff run next season, it’s a surprising move for Judkins. It makes you think that the only reason he’d leave is if a big-time program was offering him a lucrative NIL deal to come there. That’s all speculation, but it gives us an idea of what teams could be pursuing him.

Notre Dame

Notre Dame received a visit from Judkins during his recruitment shortly before his commitment to Ole Miss. With junior runningback Audric Estime declaring for the NFL Draft, a spot opens up for Judkins to be the new RB1 for the Fighting Irish.

Auburn

Attending Pike Road High School in Montgomery, AL, Judkins played less than an hour away from Auburn’s campus. As an Alabama native and someone who was formerly recruited by the Tigers, the fit makes a lot of sense.

Alabama

Alabama didn’t pursue Judkins when he was a high school recruit, but they may be after him now. The Tide surprisingly failed to have a 1,000-yard rusher for the second straight season, and will likely lose Jase McClellan to the NFL Draft. Bama could easily fill this hole with one of their blue-chip running backs waiting in the wings, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we see this happen.
